Kidworks Academy before- and after-school program was developed to meet the growing educational needs of children. Our program combines guidance and security with independent exploration to give school age children the freedom and structure they need. They get to spend time with friends and enjoy activities that are relevant to school-age interests. Our program supplements school calendars to provide fun activities during holidays, teacher in-service days and other school breaks.

Our Kidworks Programs Feature:

  • Homework supervision in a secure environment
  • Fitness activities to keep your child active and healthy
  • An enjoyable environment where your child will learn to      build confidence, self esteem, character and social skills
  • Children at Kidworks are guided by a team of experienced teachers that teach our age appropriate curriculum that prepares them for elementary school and beyond. We encourage children to learn in groups as well as alone. Sharing, taking turns, and speaking in front of the group are all skills our children need to be successful. Our curriculum also helps children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills they’ll need to succeed in school.

Specifically we focus on helping our kids in combination with the daily direction of the parent to attain their age appropriate developmental milestones.

When we talk about development milestones, we are talking about developing skills like:

  • Gross motor: using large groups of muscles to sit, stand, walk,       run, etc., keeping balance, and changing positions.
  • Fine motor: using hands to be able to eat, draw, dress, play,       write, and do many other things.
  • Language: speaking, using body language and gestures,       communicating, and understanding what others say.
  • Cognitive: Thinking skills: including learning, understanding,       problem-solving, reasoning, and remembering.
  • Social: Interacting with others, having relationships with family,       friends, and teachers, cooperating, and responding to the feelings       of others.
